What is post-construction and renovation cleaning?

Post-construction cleaning removes the construction dust and debris that settle in an HVAC system during a new build or renovation. Because the HVAC system is often installed early, drywall, insulation, flooring and cutting work can fill the ductwork and furnace with dust and sawdust. New Age recommends a professional HVAC cleaning before occupancy.

Construction work that fills ducts with dust

  • Drywall installation
  • Insulation
  • Flooring
  • Cutting, which sends sawdust into the system

Clean before you move in

After a renovation or new construction project, it's important that your home or building is clean and ready for occupancy. Construction dust and debris can collect in the HVAC system during the build and affect air quality from the moment the system is turned on.

Why the ducts get so dirty

New builds and renovations often have the HVAC system installed early in the project. As construction continues, dust, sawdust and other debris enter and settle in the ductwork and system components.

Our recommendation

We strongly recommend a professional HVAC cleaning before occupancy, so those contaminants don't circulate through the indoor environment or settle in the furnace and air distribution system.

Post-Construction Cleaning questions

The HVAC system is often installed early, so drywall, insulation, flooring and cutting work send dust and sawdust into the ductwork and furnace. Cleaning before occupancy keeps that debris from circulating.
